A graduate of Bard College in Political Studies and International Relations (B.A.), I completed my senior thesis on Central Asian guest workers in Russia.  During my studies at Bard, I was fortunate enough to receive a DAAD Fellowship to complete a research project on Russian-speaking immigrants in Germany at Humboldt University in Berlin. After graduation I ended up in Berlin again, this time as an editorial intern at the Atlantic Community with a focus on trans-atlantic and EU-Russia relations.

I am currently completing a Master’s in Migration Studies (MSc) at the University of Oxford with a focus on post-Soviet migration.

Eastern Profiles is an attempt to put pen to paper on my thoughts about events occurring across the post-Communist world from Ukraine to Tajikistan.
